Kicking off 2024 talking about classic pieces – these are the winter wardrobe staples that you will be reaching for again and again! Every January I do a big closet clean out (ugh!) and re-look at what classic pieces I may need to fill any voids in my wardrobe. So, below I am sharing all of my current classic favorites and why I love them, plus, a few more classic styles on my winter wish list and links to more wardrobe staple posts that you may enjoy!
CASHMERE CABLE KNIT
Few things are more classic than a cashmere cable. I own this one in multiple colors and – lucky for you – it is now on sale! I love this particular style as it has a relaxed fit, is a great length, and the yarn is super soft. I have worn it with just about everything that I own.
OVERSIZED LEATHER TOTE BAG
DeMellier has been on my radar for some time! I finally snapped up this oversized tote and it’s perfect for my day-to-day. It is super roomy, has a generous handle drop (can go on your shoulder when wearing a winter coat), and is a pebbled leather that will last – and hide those pesky scratches it is bound to get. You can see all the DeMellier styles here – so many chic shapes to consider!
LUXE UTILITY JACKET
You can see how I’ve styled this coat above as well as here and here! I fell in love with this jacket this summer – I wore it non stop in Paris and when I saw the more cropped version with a collar I knew I needed it. While they are more of an investment, I know the price per wear will be incredible. There is a style very similar for less here, but hurry as there are only a few sizes left! Also, if you love this style but prefer a stand collar, check out this.
KICK FLARE CORDS
The Ashford Pant is simply an instant classic. I first got my hands on these last year in a green cord (seen here) and since then I have added so many more colors and fabrications to my closet, including these brown cords! You can see how I’ve styled them above and another way here.
CLASSIC SUEDE PUMP
Everyone should own a great, classic flat, kitten heel, and pump in your wardrobe and these kitten heels are an easy choice. I recently styled them in Savannah here. They are available in four chic shades and I felt like navy would get the most wear. And as you know from this post, these pumps are the classic heels in my closet.
Below are a few more classic styles that live in my closet or are currently at the top of my wish list. And, if you are interested in more great staple items you can check out the following noteworthy stories like this post, this post, and this post.
